Additionally, the ultraviolet lamp emits a wavelength of 360-400nm, further attracting mosquitoes. Once the mosquitoes are drawn to the device, a built-in suction fan pulls them into a pot located at the bottom, where they are dried out.

The "Mosquito Catcher" project began in April 2017 and was completed in September 2017 in Wuhan. Throughout the design process, Gong Qian and the design team, including Liu Mingde and Jin Hanlin, conducted extensive research on mosquito behavior and attraction methods. By combining their findings with innovative design principles, they successfully created a highly efficient and visually appealing solution to combat mosquitoes.

The "Mosquito Catcher" has received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2018, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges the product's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.
